Dasher and I were visiting a high school when the transition between classes started.  As the halls filled with people a student literally dropped to the floor and sat against the wall crying as dozens of people passed the student by.  Dasher immediately walked to the student and started to lick the student’s face non-stop for the entire transition time.  When the hallway was empty I knelt beside the student and asked if we could go to a private room.  The student agreed and I left her with a favorite teacher.  Afterwards, the teacher told me that Dasher really helped her.  I believe that Dasher is an instinctive healer who knows that the only thing worse than suffering is suffering alone.
