Visitation Story:
My dog Sophie & I went for our first therapy dog visit today in Bristol, NH. We visited the Day Away program at our church. It is a day care program for adults with early stage Alzheimer’s or related dementias. They were missing a few people today but it was a very good experience. Sophie greeted both the participants and the volunteer staff appropriately. She walked next to a participant as he walked with his walker and he enjoyed petting her when he was seated.
They were very happy with the visit and we will be returning once a month.
