AKC Therapy Dog of Excellence

Jack and I met Dee Ganley to perform the recertification process a few weeks ago.  We passed!  Jack is a 5 year old golden retriever that visits a mix of therapy locations, including children and elder care facilities.

On the previous Saturday I had received his silver medal from AKC as a therapy dog of excellence, because he has completed 200 confirmed therapy visits!  I am so proud of him!  Wherever we go he is greeted by staff and clients alike.

Jack and I have been visiting for almost 3 years.  I bring the AKC therapy log sheets, and have them date and sign that he has attended that day.  I also log our visits into the CAP visit log.

Dee suggested I have a picture taken of Jack to send into the CAP organization.  He was groomed this week and my friend takes great pictures.

I have included two photos.  One shows him in his CAP bandana with his silver medal. The other shows him in a bow tie, which he wears when we attend therapy visits.
