When I visit the Epsom Healthcare with Winter, I never know who enjoys the day more; the patients, the employees, the guests, or me. Last week we came across a wonderful lady that we always visit. She loves talking and always thanks us for coming. However, last week she was sitting in the common area and looking very very sad. There had been a death and that conjured up lots of memories from her past, and she was almost paralyzed with grief. She saw us, began talking and then for the first time I allowed Winter to lay beside her on the couch. It was almost as if Winter sensed her pain as she immediately snuggled up to her side and just laid there for her to run her hand up and down her body. She gradually talked and talked as she stroked Winter’s white body.
It’s almost a week later and I’m still warm with joy.
